Isebakke leads Morehead State women’s golf to eighth-place finish in South Carolina

Morehead State University’s women’s golf team finished eighth at the More than Golf Invitational held in Aiken, South Carolina. The event took place at Old Barnwell, a par 73 course, and featured challenging windy conditions that contributed to higher scores across the 12-team field. Only two under-par rounds were recorded during the three-day tournament.

Senior Tuva Marie Isebakke stood out for Morehead State, tying for seventh place with rounds of 73, 78, and 75 for a total score of 226. This marks her sixth career top-10 finish and her second top-10 result of the current season.

Other contributors for the Eagles included Isabella Wiley, who tied for 32nd after improving her score on the final day with a round of 75, bringing her total to 236. Amelia Greenlee posted a combined score of 240 over three rounds. Claudia Hofmeister finished with a total of 241, while Margaret Ulrich completed the lineup with a score of 258.

The team finished with an overall score of 940 (305-324-311). Columbia University secured first place in the tournament by finishing ten strokes ahead of Tulsa.

The Morehead State women’s golf team will next compete as hosts at the Morehead State Southern California Invitational in Camarillo, California, starting Sunday.
