Morehead State Board Of Regents Meets Feb. 23

The Morehead State University Board of Regents will meet on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 9:45 a.m. at MSU at Mt. Sterling. The meeting will be preceded by an audit committee meeting at 9:30 a.m. and an executive committee meeting at 9:40 a.m.

The board will hear a report from MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan. He will recommend that the board approve an employee compensation plan, coaching contracts and the 2023-24 housing schedule. In addition, the board will vote to:

•    Accept the 2021-2022 NCAA agreed-upon procedures report.

•    Approve reappointment of auditing firm and audit price.

•    Accept 2021-22 single audit report.

•    Approve the minimum scope of the annual audit for the year ending June 30, 2023.

•    Accept the University organizational chart.

•    Approve the Student Government Association bylaws/constitution.

•    Approve University endowment match.

Board members will also hear a performance update from Courtney Andrews and a mid-year financial update from Vice President for Fiscal Services Mary Fister-Tucker and Dr. Morgan. Chief Facilities and Operations Officer Kim Oatman will give presentations on facilities and capital planning.

The board will also enter a closed executive session to discuss matters relating to the future disposition of real estate. The board will take no action while in closed executive session.

The meeting will conclude with a legislative report from Dr. Morgan.

The next meeting of the board is Thursday, March 30.
