On Wednesday, April 9, former Boyd County High School standout Alex Martin’s current college team, the Xavier Musketeers, lost 10-8 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Wright State Raiders.
The game took place at Prasco Park. This was their second matchup against the Raiders this season.
The Musketeers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 3 p.m. at Jack Kaiser Stadium against St. John’s Red Storm.
Izaiah Day has transferred from Taylor University to join Morehead State’s men’s basketball program after leading his former team in scoring last season. Head coach Jonathan Mattox praised Day’s shooting skills and competitive nature.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Northeast Kentucky area high school athletes.
