Piazza Racks Up Another Top-10 Finish as Men’s Golf Concludes Play at Daytona Beach

Morehead State men’s golf wrapped up their two-day event Tuesday afternoon at the Dayton Beach Spring Invitational, finishing 11th in the field.

The Eagles were led by sophomore Nolan Piazza, who collected another top-10 finish after firing rounds of 69-80-68—217. Piazza was successful on par 4 scoring, going -2 throughout the event, and also led the loaded field in birdies with 16.

Brody Webb, who returned to the Eagles lineup, finished in the top-40. Webb carded rounds of 77-74-74—225 and led the team in par 3 scoring, where he was even par.

Cameron Travis and Logan Liles tied for the team lead in pars, while Andrew Marrs, who competed in his first event of the season, fashioned rounds of 81-76-82—239.

The quintet returns to action Thursday at the Sea Palms Invitational. The three-day tournament tees off from the Sea Palms Resort in St. Simons Island, Ga.
