79 percent of applicants to Morehead State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Morehead State University, 87 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Morehead enrolled 10,195 students in fall 2018, including 9,395 in undergraduate and 800 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

86 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kentucky, and 14 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (89 percent) and Black or African American (3 percent).

The school admitted 79 percent of the 6,739 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
