Women's Hoops Continues Road Trip in Volunteer State at ETSU

Morehead State women's basketball wraps up their four game road trip at East Tennessee State Sunday.

The Eagles are coming off a tough loss at Eastern Kentucky, where the team outrebounded their opponent for the second straight game, holding a 40-35 advantage on the boards over the Colonels.

Veronica Charles notched a career-high 20 points, while adding five rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Crystal Corley added five points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks of her own and Sandra Lin chipped in with eight points, five assists and two steals.

After falling at No. 1 South Carolina, the Buccaneers have rattled off three straight victories, most recently holding off a late comeback bid from Jacksonville State to win 55-54. ETSU is led by graduate student Jiselle Thomas, who is averaging 20 points per game, including a 32 point performance earlier this season against St. Bonaventure.

Tip-off is slated for 2:00 PM and can be found on ESPN+ or listened to on the Eagle Sports Radio Network.
