Mark Freeman Tabbed OVC Men's Hoops Player of the Week
Morehead State guard Mark Freeman put on a display or pure basketball scoring wizardry in Johnson Arena this past week, and for his efforts he's earned Ohio Valley Conference co-Player of the Week.
Freeman was dynamic in leading MSU to a pair of victories to keep the Eagles in a tie for first place. He averaged 26.5 points, 3.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds while shooting 62 percent overall and 50 percent from three-point range in wins over Little Rock and SIUE.
Freeman opened the week with a 25-point effort against LR, including hitting 10-of-14 shots to go along with five assists and two steals. He then had a masterful performance against SIUE, scoring 14 consecutive points in the second half, 21 overall second-half points and 28 total points for the game to help erase a 10-point deficit as the Eagles won 55-50.
