5.3% of Lawrence County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Lawrence County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 250 people out of the 16,274 living in Lawrence County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Lawrence County has decreased compared to the 5.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Lawrence County was nearly equal to the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Everyone who had a job at the time belonged to the civilian labor force.
