2021 has 8% of Lewis County residents unemployed

Lewis County recorded an unemployment rate of 8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 347 people out of the 13,103 living in Lewis County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Lewis County has increased compared to the 6.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Lewis County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Everyone who had a job at the time belonged to the civilian labor force.
